A friend asked me to create a treasure map for her grandchildren. They will all be together at the beach on Thanksgiving, so this is a perfect activity for them and a chance for Grandma to get rid of all her old coins from other countries.
I used gold parchment paper and lettered the title with a #1 Mitchell nib and Moon Palace Sumi ink. The directions were done with a .3 Staedtler pigment liner and the parrot drawn from one she liked. The final thing was to roll it up a couple times and then burn the edges. This will be rolled up and put into a wine bottle to be ‘discovered’ by the grandkids.
